Segurança em Imagem por Ressonância Magnética

Apesar de o processo de obtenção de imagens por ressonância magnética (RM) não utilizar radiação ionizante e o método ser considerado seguro, existem muitos riscos associados à realização dos exames e ao ambiente de RM que já ocasionaram acidentes graves associados à morte de pacientes, indivíduos em geral e trabalhadores. Cabe destacar que o Brasil não tem legislação ou mesmo recomendação sobre aspectos de segurança em RM e é, portanto, dever das instituições e dos que trabalham garantir a segurança dos pacientes, acompanhantes, colaboradores e prestadores de serviço na sua relação com o ambiente de RM. Dessa forma, buscamos fornecer um conjunto de orientações práticas para a rotina de serviços clínicos ou de pesquisa em imagem por RM, de forma que se torne parte das políticas de segurança das instituições.
