Desenvolvimento de uma bobina de RF transmissora tipo gaiola para MRI ex vivo em cérebros de neonatos em 7 Tesla

Este trabalho descreve o desenvolvimento e caracterização de uma bobina de radiofrequência (RF) do tipo gaiola (Birdcage Coil) com dimensões otimizadas para experimentos de imagens por ressonância magnética de amostras ex vivo de cérebros de neonatos em um sistema de 7 Tesla. Os resultados obtidos indicam que, mesmo em campos magnéticos considerados ultra-altos, esta geometria de bobina ainda é capaz de produzir campos de RF com homogeneidade suficiente para excitação em um volume esférico de 11 cm de diâmetro. A integração desta bobina transmissora com bobinas multicanais dedicadas para recepção permitirá a realização de experimentos ex vivos com alta resolução espacial, podendo atingir até 100 μm isotrópica.Downloads
